Discussion focuses on economic development

The mayor and board of aldermen in Holly Springs recently heard a presentation by Skip Scaggs with the North Mississippi Industrial Deve­lop­ment Association.

Mayor Kelvin Buck serves on the board of directors and is a member of the executive committee for NMIDA.

As former Gov. Haley Barbour was quoted as saying, economic development is a team sport, Scaggs said.

“It’s a lot of people pulling in the same direction,” he said. “The Holly Springs Utility Department is a solid partner.”
