Cut tree uncovers old brick walks

Diane Schule, retired Marshall County director of libraries, loves her home on Chulahoma Avenue. She said she’s had nice homes, but this one she loves most of all.

Tree trimmers were in her side yard in the fall, removing limbs touching the roof so the house could have its insurance policy renewed, when one worker found some bricks on the ground below his feet.

After finding the first loose bricks, Schule realized there were loose bricks all over the place.

After power washing the area, brickwork surrounding historic Alicia was uncovered.
