An irrigation system for the lawn at the Marshall County Courthouse is under construction. Barrett Ash of Potts Camp (with trencher) and Jordon Harris (with shovel) are laying PVC for the project. Once completed, the lawn will be kept pristine for decades to come. Prior to the installation, county employees have had to drag hoses and sprinklers over the lawn in the summer to keep the grass alive. The project, recommended by chancery clerk Chuck Thomas, was paid for out of fee collections at the chancery clerk’s office, that were not needed to operate the clerk’s office.
