County school district opening year with some changes
The Marshall County School District will start a new year with reconfiguration at some schools and also some administrative changes.
“In order to provide a better educational continuity for a longer period of time and only one bridge between the middle/high and elementary schools, we have reconfigured Potts Camp-Mary Reid School and H.W. Byers for the 2018-2019 school year,” said superintendent of education Lela Hale.
Mary Reid School now serves K-6 grades with Tana Miller as the new principal and Cana Minor as administrative assistant. Miller is the former Potts Camp Middle School principal. Mary Reid will still house K-3 and grades four through six are on the Potts Camp School campus. Miller will spend time on both campuses for those grades, according to Hale.
