County looks at zoning rules
The Marshall County Board of Supervisors is considering some zoning ordinance changes suggested by zoning director Ken Jones.
Jones recommended supervisors require mobile homes older than 20 years not be allowed to be moved into the county.
“A lot of older trailers are trying to move into the county,” he said. “We require pictures of all used trailers before they move here. By the time they get moved, they are falling apart. We have had some to break down on the highway.”
Jones asked the board to put a 20-year age limit on mobile homes being moved in.
Jones said he does not worry so much when a used trailer is coming from a dealer but does from individuals.
