County board discusses housing
Education is not solely to blame for lack of housing growth in the county, according to Gary Anderson, consultant to the Marshall County Board of Supervisors.
“People often say that education is holding us back, but it’s not a matter of any one thing holding the county back from future growth,” he said.
Marshall County is struggling to beef up its workforce so it can continue to benefit from large commercial and industrial prospects wanting to come to the county – to the industrial parks.
“Education plays a role, but it is not the only thing,” he said.
The discussion was in connection with efforts to promote growth of rooftops in the county to match the expansion of warehousing and distribution jobs in the county.
