Community group organizes Memphis Suit Project

A local initiative to provide new suits for the graduating men at Holly Springs High School and Rust College is underway.

The project is seeking financial support from sponsors. It takes about $200 to outfit a young man in a new tailor-fitted suit, a shirt and tie and all the works.

Roberts Wilson praised Rust College graduates who are being asked to help mentor this group of men.

“They kept their noses to the grindstone and got through,” Wilson said. “These guys at Rust are a wonderful example because they completed college. As we all know, it doesn’t get any easier after that (graduation).”
