City to buy camera for storm drains

The City of Holly Springs needs a camera system to take a systematic look at the condition of underground sewers and storm drains, according to Mitch Tomlinson, supervisor of water and gas.

He said the lease/purchase of the system would cost less than the city paid for one job – the Cottrell Avenue sewer line replacement project.

A five-year lease to purchase the equipment (camera and truck) would pay itself off, he said.
