Camera system in use

Holly Springs Utility Department employees are using a new mobile camera to scan underline sewers and storm drains for obstructions.

The slowing of the sewer at the Bank of Holly Springs downtown was a matter of concern the last two weeks as plumbers and city service crews worked to find what was obstructing the system, causing a slow outflow.

Mitch Tomlinson, with the city’s utility department, said a new camera system running in the $600,000 range is being put to use to locate the obstruction of the sewer line at the bank.
