Byhalia maps out plans for future

The Town of Byhalia is making progress as it aligns its forces to integrate the Byhalia Area Chamber Main Street with the Mississippi Main Street Association.

“The town, board of aldermen and staff have been making strides aligning the mission of the Town of Byhalia and the Byhalia Area Chamber with the mission of the Mississippi Main Street Association,” said Sarah Sawyer, executive director of the Chamber. “There are extensive details to coordinate – structure, budget, goals, jobs, promotion and branding.”

Sawyer said more time and effort have gone into planning than she expected.

“We are making progress,” she said.

The Advisory Council meeting is set for April.
