Byhalia board OKs downtown event

At the March 7 Byhalia town board meeting, business owners Pam Nobles and Callie Carrington came before the board to request permission to host a Customer Appreciation Day on May 13.
The downtown event will be complete with a moon bounce, door prizes and food. Permission was given to hold the event.
Present at the March 7 meeting were Mayor Phil Malone and aldermen Richard Minor, Daylon Cannon, Mary Ann Cooper and Joe Tunstall. Also present were public works director Gary Smoot, police chief Gary Looney, attorney Adam Emerson, and town clerk Teresa Strickland.
