Byhalia board hears citizens’ complaints

During the Byhalia town board meeting on January 2, Tony McCutchen addressed an issue at his property on Highway 178.

He had been told he had to have a garbage can though he does not use it. The utilities were on to keep pipes from freezing and because the building was up for sale.

The building is used three to four times per year and garbage is removed if it is used.

Town clerk Teresa Strickland said minutes from 2001 stated all businesses and residential customers had to be charged a fee for garbage.
