Byhalia alumni group supports education

The Byhalia High School Alumni Association awarded eight $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors this year, according to Gary Anderson, one of the founders of the association in 2016.

The association, which now has about 170 paid memberships, sets its goal to help further educational achievement in the Byhalia area, he said.

In year 2017, the association awarded two $1,000 scholarships and next year’s goal is to award 10 scholarships, he said.
