Business on the Square

Holly Springs Mayor Kelvin Buck opened the fourth “Business on the Square” meeting with a big announcement.

“The awnings are going to stay,” he said.

One of the hottest discussions that erupted from the first in the series of meetings was the possibility of taking down the awnings on the front of most downtown buildings.

“We are going to try to restore the awnings,” Buck said to the crowd of about 40 businesspeople gathered at The Bottomless Cup on Tuesday evening, May 8.
