Brewer new director at Marshall County Library
Jessica Brewer, of Mooreville, is the new director of the Marshall County Library System.
Her first day at work was Dec. 6, 2024.
She holds a bachelor’s and a master’s in Library and Information Science from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Brewer attended Mooreville High School, located south of Tupelo. She took her practicum at the Lee County Library, then served as manager two years at the Como Library.
“I’ve always been a reader,” she said.
A big motivator to go into library science was her middle school librarian Amanda Fowler.
“She was really cool,” Brewer said. “She was actually on Wheel of Fortune and won a trip to Rome.” Her mother, Alissa Brewer, helped her a lot getting through school. She works at a Tupelo fabrics store as a customer service representative.
Her late dad was a factory worker and became a big truck driver.
Brewer said her favorite and best subjects are math and English.
Welcome to Holly Springs, Jessica Brewer.
