Six bids were opened on soil stabilization projects taking place in Holly Springs this year.
Public works director Clay Moore said the Natural Resource Conservation Service grant applications for work on soil stabilization at multiple sites were requested. NCRS approved two sites to fund, he said.
They include stabilization of a ditch bank between Auto Zone and the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) building and a creek where a 10-inch water main has been exposed as it crosses a creek off Old Highway 4 West.
