Annual health fair a success
About 70 vendors participated in the 18th Annual Eddie Lee Smith Health Fair in Holly Springs. It was held at the Multi-Purpose Building, also named in the former mayor’s memory, on North Memphis Street.
Attendance was estimated this year at more than 700, including vendors and volunteers, according to Terry Leeks, health fair chair.
The theme for this year’s fair was “Where Your Health Matters.” It offered free health screenings, free food, free dental screenings for children, a Veterans Administration bus, a Mississippi Blood Services mobile unit, and a host of vendors with information about health and community services.
