Annual health fair continues to grow
The 17th annual Eddie Lee Smith Health Fair, held at the Multi-Purpose Building named after the former Holly Springs mayor, drew a crowd of over 600 health enthusiasts and 72 vendors, according to Terry Leeks, director of radiology at Alliance Hospital.
The event is put on each year by Alliance HealthCare Foundation and is free to the public. The vendors this year filled up the building and a Veterans Administration bus and a Bloodmobile were available, as well as Colgate’s Bright Smiles Bright Futures mobile dental office.
Luberta Smith, wife of the late mayor, was on hand to welcome guests.
