Local students receive degrees

Bethel University, in McKenzie, Tenn., held its Fall 2019 Commencement on Saturday, Dec. 7, in the school's Rosemary and Harry Crisp II arena.

A total of 314 Bethel University students graduated during the 2019 calendar year.

Established in 1842, Bethel University is one of the oldest universities in the state of Tennessee. It is affiliated with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and it offers bachelor's, master's, and associate degrees through a variety of learning platforms. Graduates from the local area include ­ from Byhalia, Timmy Brown, Master of Business Administration; and from Holly Springs, James Cox, Bachelor of Science; and Kimberly Hale, Associate of Arts.
