Burrow,
80, of Anchorage, Alaska, formerly of Holly Springs, died Feb. 11, 2008
at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. She was a member of
Shiloh MB Church of Anchorage and a nurse’s aide.
Services
were held at 12 noon on
Feb.
19 at Greater Galations MB Church in Memphis, Tenn., where she was a
member. Burial was in Charity Hill Cemetery in Lake Center. Rev. James
A. Gilkey Jr. officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.
She
leaves a son, Eddie L. White
Sr. of
Memphis, Tenn.; a daughter, Beatrice Freeman of Anchorage, Alaska; two
brothers, Maurice Beckley of Milwaukee, Wisc., James Hunter of Jackson;
17 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
She
was preceded in death by a
son,
Richard E. (Kang) White; a sister, Linnie B. McNeely.

Ben T. Cole
Ben
T. Cole, 91, of Oxford,
formerly of
Holly Springs, died Feb. 13, 2008 at Mississippi Veterans
Administration Home in Oxford. He was the widower of Nannie Mae Cole
and Annie Mae King. He was a former member of Samuel Chapel MB Church,
member of VFW and school teacher with Benton County Schools for 30
years, retired. He was drafted into the United States Army serving
faithfully in World War II, where he was wounded. He received
his early education in the Benton County School System. He obtained his
high school and college degrees from Rust College and did graduate work
at Tennessee State University. He was a math teacher. He worked at The
University of Memphis and Harding Academy before retiring. He later
married Emma Scales of Benton County.
Services
were held at 11 a.m. on
Feb.
19 at Hopewell No. 1 MB Church. Burial was in Bowens Cemetery in Holly
Springs. Rev. Leroy James officiated. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.

leaves three children,

Thomas Cole Jr. of Holly Springs, James (Bubba) Hearn of Omaha, Neb.,
Ira Johnson of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; a sister, Velma Dorse of Michigan
City; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He

brothers, Booker T. (Bill), Marvin (Bott) and Jasper (Jack).

Memphis,
Tenn., formerly of Michigan City, died Feb. 12, 2008 at Baptist
Memorial Hospital in Memphis. She was the widow of Bevis Franklin Sr.,
a church mother and member of Order of Eastern Star.

were held at 1 p.m. on

at Sims Chapel MB church in Michigan City, where she was a member.
Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Adam Gholson officiated. J.F.

MB Church in Lamar, former member of Masonic Lodge and machine operator
with Burlington-Northern Sante Fe Railway for over 32 years, retired.

Waterford,
died Feb. 15, 2008 at his home. He was a teamster with Yellow Freight
and a veteran of the U.S. Army, a cattle farmer, and preschool Sunday
school teacher for over 20 years.

was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, Tenn. Holly Springs Funeral

Reliford, 80, of Holly
Springs,
died Feb. 17, 2008 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - North MS. She was the
widow of Willie Gene Reliford. She joined Hopewell No. 2 MB Church in
Hudsonville at an early age and later joined Hopewell No. 1 in Holly
Springs. She was a choir member. She served on the mothers board,
kitchen committee and missionary board. She retired from the Holly
Springs School District after 22-1/2 years of service.

were held at 11 a.m. on

21 at Hopewell No. 1 MB Church. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery. Rev.
Leroy James officiated. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
