ObituariesSarah Rebecca Clifton Sarah Rebecca “Becky” Clifton, 92, of Potts Camp, died Feb. 7, 2013. She was the widow of Marshall Clifton. Services
were held at 3 p.m. on Feb. 10 at Potts Camp Baptist Church, where she
was a member. Bro. Ken Cooper and Bro. Chuck Fowler officiated. Burial

Mae Davis, 86, of Holly Springs, died Feb. 18, 2013, in Holly Springs.
The widow of Harold Davis, she was a member of First United Methodist
Church in Holly Springs and a beautician. Services
were held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 20 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel.

Mae Ford, 92, of Holly Springs, died Feb. 14, 2013, at Trinity Mission

Cox Hiler, 97, of Holly Springs, died Feb. 11, 2013, at Christopher’s
Personal Care Home. She was a member of Women Missionary Society,
church trustee, church pianist, a member of Marshall County Retired
Teacher Association, a member of Federated Improvement Club. She taught
at former Rosenwald High School, Potts Camp Elementary School, Galena
Elementary and Junior High Schools, where she was pianist for musical
programs. Services were held at 10 a.m. on Feb.
16 at Anderson Chapel CME Church in Holly Springs, where she was a
member. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. Denise
Anders-Modest officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements. She leaves three
children, Rothenia Collins Walton of Holly Springs, Naomi F. Golf,
Mabel M. Golf, both of New York, N.Y.; a brother, James Cox of Canton;

Louise McBride, 76, of Christopher’s Personal Care Home in Holly
Springs, formerly of Zion, Ill, where she had lived for 73 years, died
Feb. 18, 2013, at Trinity Mission in Byhalia. She was the widow of
Donald McBride, her husband of 52 years, and a Methodist. Services
will be held on Feb. 23 at Congdan and Co. Funeral Home in Zion, Ill.
Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home is in

Tanya Churchill (Chuck) of Holly Springs; a son, Frank D. McBride of

“Mississippi” Norman 54, died Feb. 8, 2013 in Memphis, Tenn. He was a
member of St. Paul MB Church and attended Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. He
was a master of many trades and had many certifications, including a
CDL license. He had an active career in welding for more than 20 years.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 16 at St.
Matthews MB Church in Byhalia. Pastor Shane Norman officiated. Serenity

leaves three daughters, Kesha Norman of Atlanta, Ga., Terra Taylor,
Shaicara Moore, both of Memphis, Tenn.; a stepson, Christopher

Fort Wayne, Ind.; three brothers, Edward, Fredrick and Aryeus Norman,

L. Pillard, 93, of Memphis, Tenn., died Feb. 12, 2013, at Bright Glade
Convalescent Center in Memphis. He was the widower of June Beck, a mud

James David (Bubba) Rhea, 66, died Feb. 12, 2013, at his home. He was born Sept. 10, 1946, in Memphis, Tenn. Services

HealthCare in Holly Springs. She was a retired surgical/medical nurse

Ann Skelton, 77, of Rolla, Mo., died Feb. 5, 2013. She was born Jan.
18, 1936, in Holly Springs. She taught at the Rolla Vocational
Technical School in the LPN program for several years. She was then
employed as an RN at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center for more
than 10 years. Services were held at 11 a.m. on
Feb. 11 at Salem Avenue Baptist Church in Rolla, where she was a member
and Sunday school teacher. Burial was in Rolla City Cemetery. Null and

Thompson, 89, of Potts Camp, died Feb. 9, 2013, at Graceland Nursing
Home in New Albany. He was the widower of Ruby Brownlee Thompson. He
was a member of Potts Camp Methodist Church a U.S. Army veteran of
World War II and a farmer. Services were held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 15 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. He
leaves his son, Robert A. Thompson (Coy); grandchildren Chris Thompson
