John Earl Brown
John Earl Brown, 51, of Potts Camp, died Nov. 8, 2013, at Baptist New Albany Hospital. He was a Baptist, a diesel mechanic and a cobbler.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 11 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel.
He leaves his wife, Kimberlie Brown of Potts Camp; three sons, Michael-Jon Brown, Tyler Brown, both of Potts Camp, Brandon Hendricks of Red Banks; his daughter, Melissa Brown of Spokane, Wash.; his mother, Betty Durham of Spokane.; two brothers, Eddie Knowles of Southaven, Robin Knowles of Memphis, Tenn.; seven sisters, Chynena Ayers, Teresa Garcia, Karen Ioane, all of Spokane, Cherity Caldwell of Southaven, Deirdra O’Neill of Bakersfield, Calif., Teresa Nance of Memphis, Angela Chittom of Collierville, Tenn.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Brown of Round Up, Mt.

John T. Henke
John T. Henke, 90, of Lamar, died Nov. 7, 2013, at his home. He moved to Lamar 40 years ago. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Following his military service, he attended trade school and was employed as a construction superintendent for the E.L. Bruce Company for 32 years before his retirement. He was a Baptist and was active in the Holly Springs Veterans of Foreign Wars affairs.
Graveside services with military honors were held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 14. at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Germantown, Tenn. Bro. Don Wilson officiated. Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center — Main Chapel of Somerville was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his stepdaughter, Rita Hall (Phil) of Somerville; his stepgranddaughter, Cindy Hyde of Memphis; and one stepgreat-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Barbara Hanvey; a stepson, Jerry Hanvey; two sisters, Georgia and Artense; and his brother, Leo Henke.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the LeBonheur Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 41817, Memphis, TN 38174.
Marvin Dean Wilbanks
Marvin Dean Wilbanks, 55, of Byhalia, died Nov. 8, 2013, at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven. He was born Aug. 8, 1958, to Junior and Edna Shelby Wilbanks.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 11 at Medlock Methodist Church. Ripley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
