Michael Stephen Andersen Michael Stephen (Stevo) Andersen, 25, of Victoria, died Sept. 23, 2008 at his home. Services
were held at 1 p.m. on Sept. 26 at Maples Memorial Methodist Church.
Burial was in Autumn Woods Memorial Park. Brantley Funeral Home of
Olive Branch was in charge of arrangements. He
leaves his wife, Elizabeth Andersen; a daughter, Lily Grace Andersen;
his parents, James and Debbie Andersen of Olive Branch; a sister,
Kailan Andersen of Olive Branch; grandparents, Albert and Peggy Rodgers
of Victoria, Erick Andersen of Olive Branch and Mary Ann Lakey of Heber
Springs, Ark.; great-grandmothers, Eunice Rodgers of Victoria and Betsy
Lee Andersen of Memphis; and a niece, Khaylie Brooke Bias of Olive
Branch. Memorial gifts may be made to the Humane Society. Mary Louise Clark Mary Louise Clark, 69, of Byhalia, died Sept. 21, 2008 in Southaven. She was a factory worker. Services
were held at 1 p.m. on Sept. 27 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Byhalia
where she was a member. Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Byhalia. She
leaves her husband, Elmo Clark Sr.; three daughters, Belvy Clark of
Byhalia, Mary Lois Stanback of Olive Branch, Cora Collins of Byhalia;
five sons, Elmo Clark of Ripley, Cleven Clark, Monroe Clark, Jeffy
Clark, all of Byhalia, Terry Clark of Holly Springs; three sisters,
JoAnna Jeffries, Ruby Harris, Peggy Hinton, all of Chicago, Ill.; four
brothers, Lawrence Newson Jr. of Ripley, James Newson of Chicago, Ill,
Lavern Newson, Clarence Newson, both of Memphis, Tenn.; 21
grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. William Johnny Cole William
Johnny Cole, 73, of Holly Springs, died Sept. 28, 2008 at Alliance
Health Care. He was a member of Red Banks Baptist Church, a lineman
with Schlitz Brewery and a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Services
were held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 1 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery. Bro. Troy Defer officiated. He
leaves his wife, Etta Mae Cole; two sons, William Clifton Cole of Holly
Springs, John Len Cole of Red Banks; eight grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by children Elizabeth Dale Cole, Michael Andrew Cole, Richard Wilson Cole. Anner Hall Jones Ferrell
Anner
Hall Jones Ferrell, 81, of Holly Springs, died Sept. 22, 2008 at
Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She was the widow of Richard
Ferrell, a retired seamstress and employed with National Filter Media
in Olive Branch for 10 years. Services were held
at 2 p.m. on Sept. 27 at Kingdom Hall of Jehova’s Witness in Holly
Springs, where she was a member. Burial was in Shady Grove CME Church
Cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements. She leaves a daughter, Darlene
Dodson of Holly Springs; grandchildren who were her caretakers, Anner
Loveberry of Holly Springs, Nataleza Rooks of Memphis, Tenn.;
stepchildren, Phillip Ferrell of Newark, N.J., Terry Ferrell of Oak
Hill, W. Va., Catherine Hooper of New York, N.Y.; adopted children,
Beverly Crutcher, E.C. Hoyle, both of Byhalia; a sister, Emma Lee
McCrary of Memphis, Tenn.; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She
was preceded in death by her daughters, Deborah Davis, Anner Morris
Jones; a brother, John William Jones; stepchildren Lawrence Ferrell and
Josephine Payne. Pallbearers were Jujuan Austin,
Keatris Austin, Travinski Austin, Patrick Brown, Jason Hamer and Chike
Onyeagba. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Graham, Robert Harper,
Richard Rooks, Eric Tennial, David Green and Demarcus Newsom. Travis Dean Roy Travis
Dean Roy, 75, of Holly Springs, died Sept. 28, 2008 at his home. He was
a Baptist, a lineman with Coors Brewing Co. and a Navy Veteran of the
Korean War. Graveside services were held at 11
a.m. on Oct. 1 at Hill Crest Cemetery. Bro. Tony Roberts officiated.

leaves his wife, Agnes Oswalt Roy; five sons, Travis Dean Roy Jr.,
Terry Dane Roy, both of Wallace, Idaho, Clifford Allen Roy of Holly
Springs, Samuel Wilson Roy of Waterford, Timothy Daniel Roy of
California; three daughters, Belinda Jean Gilmer, Pamela Rhea Spoon,
Kimberly Louise Haley, all of Holly Springs; his mother, Annie Lee
Morris of Southaven; a brother, Howard Roy of Lakeland, Tenn.; five
sisters, Juanita Griffin of Birmingham, Ala., Georgia Kemper of Texas,
Jeanette Lavorn of Denver, Colo., Joann Dawkins of Olive Branch, Bobbie
Roy of Bartlett, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Lurline Turner

Turner, 57, of Holly Springs, died Sept. 20, 2008 at Baptist Hospital
North Mississippi in Oxford. She was a retired teacher’s assistant with
Holy Family School in Holly Springs. Services
were held at 11 am. on Sept. 27 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, where
she was a member. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. Deldrick
Leasure officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge
of arrangements. She leaves two daughters,
Carla Muse, Patrice Turner, both of Holly Springs; her mother, Gracie
Turner of Holly Springs; four sisters, Jannie Luellen, Pearly Jones,
Nell Owens, Evelyn Mays, all of Holly Springs; and five grandchildren. She
was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristie Turner; a brother Jerry
Turner; a sister, Teresa Hobson; a grandchild, Kennedy Turner-Boyce. Pallbearers
were Jarvis Lane, Jamaun Lane, Jamarris Lane, Jeremy Jones, Lakeith
Jones, Ronald Stewart, Jason Jones and Jeffery Jones. Honorary
pallbearers were Chris Muse, Lilton Craine Jr., Lemarcus Jones, Gabriel
Owen Sr., Ronnie Luellen and Derrick Owens.
