Mary Reid AR kickoff
Mary Reid Elementary School engaged in an Accelerated Reader (AR)
kickoff Friday, September 5.The faculty and staff were dressed as book
characters to help encourage the children to read. A
pep rally took place that morning at 9 a.m. in the cafeteria. Prizes
were given by Leslie Stanton to those who have already earned AR
points and classroom incentives were presented by Wendy Moore. Pat
Kennedy introduced the staff as they
entered… basketball players, a cheerleader, a football
player, the giving tree, Dr. Seuss, Tinkerbell, Mother Goose, an ice
cream cone, and a hot dog were only a few of the costumes
presented. |  |
Cookie dough
Friendship Christian Academy had a very successful cookie dough
fund-raiser. Representative for Grammy’s Best, Jeff Fikes, was at FCA Sept. 23 to give awards to the top sellers. Our top seller
was Amber Nunley.Amber won $148 in cash and prizes. Six students won a backpack pal with money, and 22 students won a
shirt.Mrs. Osteen and Mrs. Berryhill won a gift card for being the top selling classes. The student body raised over $8000. |
