January 25

• MARRIAGE WORSHOP - Join Pastor Actavatis A. Allen and first lady Zelma Allen along with the New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries church family in an intense Interacting Marriage Workshop, January 25, February 1, 8 and 15. Free admission, must be married. The church is located at 565 Neely Avenue, Holly Springs.

January 26

• Kudzu Klassic Barrel Race # 6, Marshall County Fairgrounds. Gates open at 8, trainers start at 9 a.m.

• Feed the community Kimbrough Chapel MB Church is now serving lunch every fourth Sat. of every month, noon to 1 p.m. Groceries and clothes will be available.

• Singing Evangel Full Gospel Assembly will have their regular singing Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. with The Pepper Family as special guests.

January 27

• Usher day The Mt. Sinai COGIC of Mt. Pleasant will have their annual Usher Day program at 3 p.m. Special guests will be Elder Sylvester Hamilton and the Miracle Temple C.O.G.I.C. of Victoria. Everyone is invited. Pastor is Elder Curtis Pritchard Sr.

• Time change Free Branch morning worship has changed to first Sundays at 11 a.m. and second through fifth Sundays at 9 a.m. Pastor, Rev. Joe Tunstall. Sunday school and Bible school on Wed. nights, 6 p.m.

• Meeting change Opulent Life Church will be meeting at “The Gallery @ 156” located at 156 East College Avenue for the next two Sundays, Jan. 27, and Feb. 3. Feb. 3 is the church anniversary and the community is invited out to worship and hear guest speaker Dr. Lloyd C. Blue. Catered dinner will follow.

January 29

• ANNUAL MEETING Marshall County Fair Association, Inc., Jan. 29, 7 p.m. at the fairgrounds, 1569 Highway 7 North. Open to the public. Anyone interested in the fairgrounds, and its potential to make Marshall County a more economical venue, is urged to attend. For more info. call the fairgrounds at 662-252-5441.

February 2

• Prayer breakfast The Mt. Moriah Men of Faith, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. R.J. Wilson, will have their annual prayer breakfast at 9 a.m. Tickets are $5 and the church is located at 3193 Marianna Road.

• Musical program Rising Star MB Church, Chewalla Rd., Holly Springs, Feb. 2, 6 p.m., in honor of the pastor, Robert McClain. All churches, choirs and groups are invited to attend and participate.

February 3

• Super Sunday, Meadowbrook Baptist Church, 3115 Old Pigeon Roost Rd., Byhalia. Special guests, Southern Image. Morning worship, 10 a.m. (no Sunday School). Come and bring a friend. Pot luck lunch after service. Bring your favorite dish.

February 7

• Relay For Life meeting will be Thurs., Feb. 7, 5:15 p.m., Marshall County Library for the team captains and for those who want to start a team. • “Night of Worship” with Dennis Jernigan, internationally known artist, and author, at CrossPointe Christian Fellowship, Sat., Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. Free to the public, doors open at 5:30 p.m. Pastor Douglas Bell invites everyone. The church is at 6400 Blocker St. in Olive Branch.

• Fish fry Sat., Feb. 9, 5-7 p.m., to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Emory Independent Methodist Church. Live music, auctions and much more.

February 10

• Special guest Dennis Jernigan, internationally known artist, speaker and author, will be the special guest worship leader and speaker at CrossPointe Christian Fellowship on Sun., Feb. 10 at the 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services. • Recovery Meeting SOS Christian Recovery Ministries will host a group meeting Friday evenings at 6 p.m. The group’s primary focus is drug addiction, alcoholism and the affected families. There will be a group for family members to learn how to cope and heal from the destructive behavior of an addict or an alcoholic in the family.
