EducationACT Preparation Workshop offered October 6-7 Northwest Community College is offering an ACT Preparation Workshop on Monday, Oct. 6 and Tuesday, Oct. 7 from 6-9 p.m. Deadline to register for the class is Friday, Oct. 3 by noon. This course provides an overview of the ACT format, followed by a review of verbal and mathematics fundamentals for solving typical test questions. Also to be discussed are management and test-taking strategies. Previous students of this course have raised their scores significantly. The course will be taught by Marcus Perkins and Kristie Waldrop. It will be held in the Burks Science Building, Room 21 on the Senatobia campus. The cost of the course is $95 with the book included. The class will also be offered on Dec. 1 and 2. Next year it will be offered on Jan. 26 and 27, March 23 and 24, and June 1 and 2.
