A great festival once again
Beverly Fitch of Olive Branch visited with her mother, Becky Cupp, and friends last week.
What a wonderful weekend at Strawberry Plains for the Hummingbird Festival! Record crowds flooded Holly Springs for the annual migration celebration. Vendors set up on the beautiful grounds, demonstrations were given and educational activities were participated in by those who attended. Stewart’s Catering provided the concessions, offering up everything from hamburgers to veggie burgers and home-baked cookies.
This is a multi-generational event which truly shows how needed Strawberry Plains is to our community. People flock from all over the country to attend yearly. Watching the banding of the hummingbirds never gets old - someone being quick enough and certainly someone with a gentle touch amazes me when handling the tiny birds! Congratulations to the crew at Strawberry Plains for yet another successful year!
