Baseball in Kansas City
I checked another Major League Baseball park off my bucket list last week.
Good friend Don Brooks and I had looked around at the possibilities for several weeks.
Close to Nowhere
It’s Tuesday all right
I had a nice little column in my head most of the day Monday that I’d planned to write as soon as I got to the office Tuesday morning.
I always come in early — in that hour by myself I can get a lot done — but this particular Tuesday (as I write this at 4:14 p.m. and we send the paper off at a little before 5) hasn’t gone as planned.
Optimistic about Mississippi’s future
For more than four decades, Congress has set aside the month of August for lawmakers to spend time in their home states with their constituents. In addition to attending events in various parts of the state, I utilize this summer work-period to travel across Mississippi, meeting with the people I represent. I am excited about the opportunity to spend time in at least 23 counties this month.
