Busy times, good times
To say things were hopping last week in Holly Springs would be a definite understatement.
It had to be one of the busiest times in quite some time.
The big boost was film crews from HBO and Cinemax, actors, actresses and equipment for the making of “Quarry,” a pilot for a proposed television series.
Close to Nowhere
Really scary stuff
• December this year is going to be unusual. There are postings everywhere on Facebook about this phenomenon.
Seems like this December will have five Mondays (how horrible!), five Saturdays and five Sundays. And this happens only once every 823 years.
The Preacher’s Corner
An explanation for W.J. Ross tombstone
Genealogical researchers have found a real boon from all sorts of Internet sites that record information of interest to their research. One of the most interesting sites is called Find-a-Grave (http://www.findagrave.com. To my surprise, on this site I found my family’s grave markers in this region photographed and described with details of the family tree. Who knew?
Letter to the Editor
On behalf of the Byhalia Garden Club, I would like to personally thank you for the terrific coverage you and your staff provide us on our many events throughout the year.
Without your assistance we would not get recognition for the many community projects we perform.
We are blessed to have The South Reporter and The Pigeon Roost News papers providing current information to Marshall County residents.
Sue Watson has been so gracious and kind to change her schedule many times to cover garden club functions. We appreciate that flexibility.
Again, thank you for your support of the Byhalia Garden Club. We appreciate you and your staff!
