BBB Cookoff Saturday in Holly Springs
The Holly Springs Main Street Chamber will present is first annual Beats, Bikers & Bar-B-Que (BBB) Cookoff & Festival on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
There is no fee for cooking contestants.
The event, with free admission, will be held in the 1600 block of Crescent Meadow Drive (near Williams Medical Clinic).
In addition to the cookoff, activities will include local bands, arts and crafts, food booths and kids’ water activities. For more information, call (662) 404-5542 or (662)-252-2943.
Holly Springs Chamber luncheon Thursday
The Holly Springs Main Street Chamber will host its third quarterly meeting of the year Thursday, Aug. 1, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Beckley Center, across from the Rust College campus. Commissioner Presley announces visits
Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley and his staff members will be in the Marshall County Board of Supervisors meeting room, 128 East Van Dorn in Holly Springs, on the second Tuesday of each month from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Please feel free to come and meet with him or his staff about any utility questions or concerns.
Fund-raiser Friday for Humane Society
The Marshall County Humane Society in Holly Springs would like to invite everyone to its annual fund-raiser, Dog Days of Summer.
It will be held Friday, August 2, at the VFW on Highway 7 in Holly Springs, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Awesome silent auction items will include pet accessories, trips, casino offerings, home décor, paintings, prints, dinners for two, sporting events and much more. Plus, guests will be entertained by local favorite, Donna Wolf, with her great fiddlin’ and violin music. And the event always features scrumptious food.
