The Marshall County Planning Commission will meet for their regularly
scheduled meeting on Tuesday, August 14, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the
Zoning Office at 590 Old Hwy. 78-East, Holly Springs, MS. The public is
invited to attend.
The following requests will be on the
agenda:
Item 1: Rezoning Hearing at 2:00 p.m.
for MitchellNorman who is requesting that his property, located at the
corner of Hwy. 178 West and Rabbit Ridge Road, be rezoned from
Agricultural-Residential to C-1 (Commercial).
Item 2: Mr. and Mrs. William M.
Hollowell request to be allowed to operate a recreational park to be
used for family reunions, blues concerts, picnics, etc. on their
property, located at 1465 Old Oxford Road. If allowed, the activities
will be held on weekends and holidays during the spring, summer and
fall months. The property in question contains eighty (80) acres and is
zoned Agricultural. Requested by Mr. and Mrs. Hollowell at the July 10,

Item 3: Mr. and Mrs. Leeroy M. Holmes
request to be allowed to subdivide their property (Lot #151 of Gordon
Lake Farms Subdivision) into two (2) lots. If allowed, they want to
sell both lots. The property in question is located on David Cove,
contains approximately five (5) acres and is zoned R-2. Tabled from
July 10, 2008 meeting.
Item 4: Mr. Charles D. Morrow Jr.
requests to be allowed to place a storage trailer on the back of his
property, located on Lee Creek Road. If allowed, Mr. Morrow stated the
trailer will be the same color as his home and will not be seen by his
neighbors. The property in question contains 2.83 acres and is zoned
R-1.
Item 5: Mrs. Ilea L.Waldrop at 205
Shinault Road lives on Lot J and her daughters lives on Lot K. She is
requesting to be allowed to redivide both lots’ lines in the
middle, so that she and her daughter can both have frontage on Shinault
Road. The property in question contains 2.51 acres and is zoned R-1.
Item 6: Mr. and Mrs. Allen W. Brewer at
131 Red Hills Road are requested to be allowed to place a second

NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that on the
14th day of July, 2008, City of Holly Springs, Mississippi and
Chickasaw Electric Cooperative filed with the Mississippi Public
Service Commission the above referenced matter.
Any person desiring to participate in
or receive further notice of these proceedings is required under RP
6.121 of the Commission’s Public Utility Rules of Practice
and Procedure to file a written petition to intervene on or before
twenty (20) days from the date of publication of this Notice.
This cause is returnable to the next
regular meeting of the Commission to be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday,
August 5, 2008, at the Mississippi Public Service Commission, 1st
Floor, Woolfolk State Office Building, Jackson, Mississippi.
This cause may be heard on said return date, if a hearing is necessary,
or be subject to being set for disposition on a hearing date not less
than (20) days from the date of this Notice. If protest,
answer or other appropriate pleading is on file in response to this
matter, the Commission will consider same on said hearing date.
