Holly Springs Intermediate School calendar

Holly Springs Intermediate School will hold report card pickup/parent teacher conference on Wednesday, Jan 16 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. The Parent Center on the Intermediate School campus, which serves grades 3-12, will be open until 6 p.m.

Holly Springs Intermediate School Americorps members are accepting new hats, gloves, socks and scarves to give to the elderly at Magnolia Cove in Holly Springs on Saturday, Jan. 19, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. A box will be located in the front office of Holly Springs Intermediate School for donations. The public is invited to come out and help make this day a success.

Holly Springs Intermediate School will have its Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday program on Friday, Jan. 18, at 1 p.m. in the gym. The public is invited to attend.

Holly Springs Intermediate School Honor Roll program will be held Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 1 p.m. in the gym. The public is invited to attend.

Academy and vocational honors for Northwest fall semester

The academic and vocational honors lists for the 2007 fall semester at Northwest Community College have been released by college officials.

Those students completing 12 or more semester hours with a grade point average of 3.75 or better in a four-point system are on the President’s List. The Dean’s List includes students completing a minimum of 12 semester hours with a 3.50 to 3.74 average. Named to the Vocational Honors List are students who have shown outstanding progress in their chosen field.

Students from Marshall County are included.
