January 16

• Report card pickup Holly Springs Intermediate School, 2-6 p.m. The Parent Center will be open until 6 p.m. allowing parents to check out materials to help their child.

January 17

• PTA meeting Holly Springs Intermediate School, PTA meeting and Parent Training, 5:30 p.m. in the library. All parents with children at the Intermediate School are encouraged to attend. A light snack will be served.

January 19

• Prayer breakfast, Community Temple, off Mt. Zion Rd., 8 a.m. Host pastor, Elder Frank Moore. For more info. call 662-851-7348. Donations accepted. Everyone is invited.

•Kudzu Klassic Barrel Race #5, Marshall County Fairgrounds. Gates open at 8 a.m. Trainers start at 9 a.m.

January 20

• Time change Free Branch morning worship has changed to first Sundays at 11 a.m. and second through fifth Sundays at 9 a.m. Pastor, Rev. Joe Tunstall. Sunday school and Bible school on Wed. nights, 6 p.m.

January 21

• MLK celebration The Marshall County Branch NAACP will host the 28th Annual Commemoration Birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Mon., Jan. 21, 9 a.m. at the Eddie L. Smith, Jr., Multi-Purpose Center on Memphis Street. Minister Bennie Braswell will be the guest speaker. The public is invited to attend.

• Class meeting Holly Springs High School Class of 1971 will have a meeting, Mon., Jan. 21, at Pizza Hut, 11 a.m. All classmates are asked to be present and on time.

January 26

• Kudzu Klassic Barrel Race #6, Marshall County Fairgrounds. Gates open at 8 a.m. Trainers start at 9.

• Feed the community Kimbrough Chapel MB Church is now serving lunch every fourth Sat. of every month, noon to 1 p.m. Groceries and clothes will be available.

• SINGING Evangel Full Gospel Assembly will have their regular singing Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. with The Pepper Family as special guests.

January 27

• Usher day The Mt. Sinai COGIC of Mt. Pleasant will have their annual Usher Day program at 3 p.m. Special guests will be Elder Sylvester Hamilton and the Miracle Temple C.O.G.I.C. of Victoria. Everyone is invited. Pastor is Elder Curtis Pritchard Sr.

January 29

• ANNUAL MEETING Marshall County Fair Association, Inc., Jan. 29, 7 p.m. at the fairgrounds, 1569 Highway 7 North. Open to the public. Anyone interested in the fairgrounds and its potential to make Marshall County a more economical venue, is urged to attend. For more info. call the fairgrounds at 662-252-5441.
