I’m very proud to call Holly Springs home
Kudos to the City of Holly Springs, Mayor Kevin Buck, all of our aldermen and Contract Fabricators for a phenomenal kick-off to the July 4th weekend!
I am not really sure what I was expecting when we headed to the square Thursday night. If you missed it, you really missed something incredible! The music was spectacular, and the crowd was amazing! Young and old showed up to celebrate Independence Day, get their groove on and enjoy mingling with old and new friends.
The fireworks towards the end of the night really were outstanding!
We have been many different places on the Fourth, and I can say honestly, none could compare to what our city did for us!
People are always spouting off at the mouth about race relations and how one group does something to the other and vice versa. Thursday night, our town showed solidarity - everyone loving everyone else -- how it should be here. We need to show support for our local musicians every Thursday night when they have their concerts.
Next week, Steven Gresham’s band will be rocking the alley! Be sure to go out and get down with them, as they are sure to put on a show you won’t forget!
My heart swelled with both patriotic pride and pride in living in Holly Springs. Are there some negative things people say about our town? Sure, like many other small towns. However, having my place here in this town makes me happy and very proud to call Holly Springs my home!
Happy sweet 16 to Jacob Shaw! He celebrated Tuesday.
