Hernando Road in District 1. The paving of the east end of Hernando
Road from Ravens Roost to Holly Springs is expected this year and one
mile on the west end of the road is scheduled for overlay (asphalt).
Wilson Golden Road in District 5 still has about one-half mile left
needing chip and seal. Asphalt paving of 1.2 miles of road from
Bethlehem Methodist Church to past Baptist Hill Church is set for this
summer and about one-half mile of Cornersville Road to the Union County
line will also get asphalt, according to District 5 supervisor Ronnie
Joe Bennett.
Wall Hill Road in District 4 is scheduled for reseal from Highway 309 to the Tate County line - about five miles.
Reseal
projects involve leveling spots in the road that have sunken or dipped
with chip and seal, reworking the shoulders, checking and cleaning out
drainage pipes and ditches, inspecting safety signs and striping. The
dips in the road are normally leveled out with asphalt, then covered
with DBST, said Zinn.
