Friends enjoy vacationing at the beach
Jacque and Mike Kazemba and children, Hallie, Drew and Will, and their friends, Caitlyn Brooks and Cory Meaders, returned Saturday from a week at Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. Will’s competitive baseball team, the Collierville Dragons, played in a tournament while there. The others spent their time at the beach, enjoying good food and shopping.
Bea Green, Pam Bray, Kathy Elgin, Vivian Smith, Kay Wheeler, Vicki Webb, Linda Seale, Diane Greer and Carol Karr returned Sunday. The ladies spent a week at Kiawah Island, S.C. They enjoyed days at the beach, shopping, wonderful food and one another’s company.
Once again, Jam Cracker rocked the house at Bo-Jangles bar behind the VFW Saturday night. Sandor Viradi was a hit on the drums and vocals. Keep your eye out for upcoming shows out there and make plans to attend!

Shana Wilson and Quentin Clayton say vows at Orange Beach, Ala.
Shana Wilson and Quentin Clayton, both of Potts Camp, were married June 12, 2013 in a private ceremony at Orange Beach, Ala.
Shana is the daughter of Steve and June Wilson of Waterford.
Quentin is the son of Bennie and Lisa Clayton of Potts Camp.
JaKaila Pauletta Shaw and Willie Benjamin Mason III to wed July 6 in Jacksonville, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Watts Sr. proudly announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter JaKaila Pauletta Shaw to Willie “Ben” Benjamin Mason III, son of Shauneille J. Mason and Willie Mason Jr.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Carolyn and Bobby Watts Sr. of St. Louis, Mo., and the late Paul Shaw. Her grandparents are Gracie and Walter Ray of Clarksdale.
JaKaila is a 2008 graduate of Cardinal Ritter College Prep in St. Louis. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Rust College in 2012. A member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., she is employed with Family Urgent Care in Tupelo.
The prospective groom is the son of Shauneille Jackson Mason of Holly Springs and Willie Mason Jr. of Aurora, Ill.
His maternal grandparents are Bernice Holland Jackson of Holly Springs and the late Jesse L. Jackson. Ben’s paternal grandparents are Verlean Howery Dowdy of Aurora, Ill., and Evon and Willie Mason Sr. of Memphis, Tenn. His great-grandmother is Rosie Thomas of Holly Springs.
Ben is a 2006 graduate of Holly Springs High School and attended Northwest Community College in Senatobia. He is currently employed with JIT, LLC in Tupelo.
JaKaila and Ben will exchange vows on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at 11:20 a.m. on the beach in Jacksonville, Fla. A reception will follow.
