• Relay for life benefit The Hopewell #1 MB Church Relay for Life Team will present a “Cancer Survivors’ Fashion Extravaganza” Friday, June 6 at 7 p.m. at the Eddie L. Smith Multi-Purpose Center at 235 North Memphis Street in Holly Springs. A five-dollar donation is requested. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. Your support is greatly appreciated.

• Meeting Marshall County Retired Education Personnel will meet Fri., June 6, 1 p.m. at the Marshall County Library. Laverne Jones, president.

• Relay for life fish fry Carlisle’s Big Star Baggers will have a Relay for Life fund-raiser, Fri., June 6, in the Big Star parking lot, from 11 a.m. until all the fish is sold! Kenny Dickerson is cooking the fish!

• Praise night A solo night and praise program will be held at Pleasant Hill CME Church, Mt. Pleasant, at 6 p.m. Rev. Willie Hoey, pastor, invites everyone to come.

• Benefit singing, Sat., June 7, 7 p.m. Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Church, 1/2 mile south of Goodman Rd. on Cayce Rd. Singers, Sis. Judy Hall and Company from Jackson, Tenn. All proceeds will benefit the building fund. Pastor Billy Watkins.

• VBS St. Matthew M. B. Church of Byhalia, Vacation Bible School is scheduled for June 9–13 nightly from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Adventures in Faith.” Along with the daily class lessons there will also be arts and crafts and refreshments will be served nightly. The entire community is invited.

• Appreciation Day Program Pastor Harold and Minister Renee Stanfield will host Appreciation Day at Grays Chapel CME Church located in Hudsonville on June 22, 3 p.m. The speaker will be Elder Joseph Grantham. All are invited to come and help us celebrate this special occasion.
