• VBS Clear Creek Baptist Church VBS 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. May 31-June 5, ages 3-teen. Theme “Cactus Canyon.”

• CHild ID The Benton County Sheriff’s Dept. presents the Child ID program at Webster’s Supermarket in Ashland, Sat., May 31, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Free service provided by the Benton County Sheriff’s office and merchants throughout the area. Free and completely confidential.

June 1

• Church anniversary True Vine MB Church will celebrate its eighth anniversary, Sun., June 1, 2:30 p.m. Speaker, pastor John Harris from Old Nonconnah in Memphis, Tenn. The public is invited. Darrell E. Cunningham.

• Homecoming Marianna Baptist Church, Hwy. 309 S., 11 a.m. Preaching, dinner and singing in afternoon with the Gatewoods. Everyone is invited.

• 48 Angels program The Stewardess Board of St. Paul C.M.E. Church will sponsor a 48 Angels program and Salad Fest on Sunday, June 1. The Salad Fest will be prior to the program and the program starts at 3 p.m. The guests will be Rev. Kenneth Rogers and Beverly Chapel CME Church. The theme is: “Serving in Love,” John 15:9-17. The community is invited. Sis. Wanda McNeil, stewardess president, Rev. Tony Wilkins, pastor.

•Homecoming and singing at Temperance Hill Baptist Church, Potts Camp, Sun., June 1. Singers will be the Reaves Family from Ripley and other local singers. Sunday School, 10 a.m., services at 11. Fellowship meal at noon, singing afterwards. Bro. Ken Cooper and members invite everyone.

June 2

• Youth summer camp City of Holly Springs youth camp, June 2-July 3, 8 a.m.-12 noon, Mon.-Fri. at the Eddie L. Smith Multi-Purpose Building. Ages 11-15, boys and girls, 100 participants. • Relay for life benefit The Hopewell #1 MB Church Relay for Life Team will present a “Cancer Survivors’ Fashion Extravaganza” Friday, June 6 at 7 p.m. at the the Eddie L. Smith Multi-Purpose Center at 235 North Memphis Street in Holly Springs. A five-dollar donation is requested. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. Your support is greatly appreciated.

June 7

• Praise night A solo night and praise program will be held at Pleasant Hill CME Church, Mt. Pleasant, at 6 p.m. Rev. Willie Hoey, pastor, invites everyone to come.

• Benefit singing, Sat., June 7, 7 p.m. Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Church, 1/2 mile south of Goodman Rd. on Cayce Rd. Local singers. All proceeds will benefit the building fund.

June 8

• Benefit program for Pastor A.V. Warren Jr., Sun., June 8, 6 p.m. The Christian Crusaders of Oxford will be guests, along with a host of choirs, male choruses and groups.

• Youth and Children’s Day Hopewell #1 MB Church, 365 North Bonner street will celebrate Youth and Children’s Day Sunday, June 8 at 3 p.m. Seven-year-old Myles Stone from Asbury United Methodist Church will be the guest speaker. Other guests include Destiny Stone from Asbury and ShaNarra Marion from Free Branch MB Church. Everyone is invited.

• Women in Hats, Men in Black Reids Gift Baptist Church, Potts Camp, June 8, 2:30 p.m. Guests will be True Vine MB Church in Holly Springs. Pastor Darryl Cunningham will be the speaker. Chairperson, Sis. Carol Williams.

• Marshall County Relay for Life, 6 p.m.-6 a.m. at Sam Coopwood Park, Hwy. 4 East, Holly Springs. All-night party with live entertainment, food, games, luminaria ceremony and contests. Fun for the whole family. Benefits American Cancer Society. Everyone is invited.

June 21

• Concert Smith Grove mass choir will be in concert, along with the New Community mass choir of Aurora, Ill., Sat., June 21, 6 p.m.

June 22

• Friend’s Day Chewalla Assembly of God will be having “Dinner on the Grounds and All Day Singing.” We invite all our friends to come and be with us. Special singer will be Megan Tate.

• Appreciation Day Program Pastor Harold and Minister Renee Stanfield will host Appreciation Day at Grays Chapel CME Church located in Hudsonville on June 22, 3 p.m. The speaker will be Elder Joseph Grantham. All are invited to come and help us celebrate this special occasion.

• Homecoming Smith Grove MB Church, Sun., June 22, 11 a.m., with pastor George Rayford and the New Community MB Church of Aurora, Ill., as special guests.

July 4

• Reunion The Byhalia High School classes of 1977, 1978 and 1979 are having a combined class reunion on July 4-6, 2008. The events will be held at the Byhalia High School gym.
