Welcome, Hadley Jenkins and Hamilton Arnold
Congratulations to all of the graduates upon receiving their diplomas. Marshall Academy held its ceremony Monday night. Esteemed alum, Dr. Jason Farese, was the speaker. He touched on events when he was a student at Marshall, as well as his secondary education at Vanderbilt University. His speech was thought provoking and very relatable to everyone in the audience. Both speeches delivered by Kristen Lusby, salutatorian, and Elizabeth Skelton, valedictorian, were excellent. Having attended Marshall all of her school years, Elizabeth touched the hearts of many in the audience when addressing them with memories from early on in school. It takes a special young lady to stand before a packed room and deliver what was her last legacy she was leaving in high school. So very proud of that young lady, as she showed courage and fortitude on the stage.
The 2014 graduating class of Marshall Academy was treated to an evening at Incredible Pizza in Cordova, Tenn., for Project Graduation. They left shortly after graduation on a bus, visited downtown Memphis, Tenn. for a bit and then headed out for their lock-in at Incredible Pizza. They spent the evening playing games, eating, and enjoying their classmates one last time before parting ways to head off to college.
Congratulations to Donna and Fred West on the birth of their first grandchild, Hadley Jenkins. The daughter of Molly and Bart Jenkins is an adorable bundle of joy.
Congratulations also goes out to Marie and C.B. McClatchy on the arrival of precious Hamilton Arnold, infant son of Nelms and Erik Arnold.
