OpinionFielder’s Choice Graduations A little over six years ago our “surprise child” was born. One of my thoughts back then, which seems like yesterday, was “wow, I will have a senior in high school and a first-grader the same year.” Close to Nowhere Graduations and birthdays It’s been a busy week! Saturday, we celebrated Gremlin’s 10th birthday (which was actually Sunday). Her mom, big sister, Uncle Dennis and I took her to the Memphis Zoo for the day. I love the zoo when the weather is good, but during the summer, I’d just as soon take a beating as walk around on that concrete in that heat!
