Tommie Jean Hartley Floate, 83, of Batesville, died April 21, 2014, in Batesville. She was a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ and a Walmart greeter.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on April 24 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Free Springs Methodist Cemetery in Harmontown. Stephan Dickerson officiated.
She leaves a son, Marvin Mark Floate of Oxford; three daughters, Penny Dodd of Blackwater, Patsy Kilpatrick, Pamela Pellar, both of Batesville; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Ronald Gene “Dog” Glover, 48, of the District 15 Community in Fayette County, Tenn., died April 18, 2014, at his father’s residence in Fayette County. He was a retired self-employed truck driver.
Services were held at 3 p.m. on April 21 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel in Oakland, Tenn. Burial was in the Perry Cemetery near Laconia, Tenn. Bro. Don Hammons and Bro. Kevin Treadway officiated.
He leaves two daughters, Nancy Jean Glover of Somerville, Cassi Lynn Glover of Memphis, Tenn.; his mother, Shirley Jean Glover (Gordon Spivey) of Holly Springs, his father, Floyd Glover (Sue) of Somerville; his brother, Dewayne Glover (K. Sue) of Somerville; his stepsister, Karla Olvera of Bolingbrook, Ill.; two stepbrothers, Robby Bergenheim of Somerville, Jim Kelley of Oakland; and a granddaughter.
Pallbearers were Robby Bergenheim, Dewayne Glover, Andrew Heck, Brad Pulliam, Darrell Kelley, Mike Phillips and Jerry Glover. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Kelley and Bradley Phillips.

Roy Grant Lester
Roy Grant Lester, 64, of Potts Camp, died April 24, 2014, at Alliance Healthcare System. He was a member of the church choir, sang with the Southern Air’s gospel group, and he was a maintenance worker with Parker Hannifin in Holly Springs.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on April 29 at Mt. Ollie MB Church in Potts Camp, where he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Anthony Marion officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves four children, Traci Bowen of Holly Springs, Farris Lewis of Denver, Colo., Marcus Lester of Amory, Keith Murray of Water Valley; two sisters, Elaine Reed, Annie Lester, both of Potts Camp; two brothers, Sylvester Lester Jr. of Corinth, James Lester of Holly Springs; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nekisha Lewis.
Maureen Porter Moore
Maureen Porter Moore, 65, of Olive Branch, formerly of Byhalia, died April 24, 2014, at her home. She was a former member of Chulahoma MB Church and usher. She was a retired assembly line worker with Carrier, Inc
Visitation will be held April 30 at the funeral home, from 2-7 p.m., with the family from 6-7 p.m. and again on May 1 at the church from 10-10:55 a.m.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on May 1 at St. Paul MB Church in Memphis, Tenn., where she was a member. Burial will be in New Park Cemetery in Memphis. Rev. Christopher B. Davis Sr. will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her husband, Willie Moore of Chulahoma; two daughters, LaShaunda Warren of Olive Branch, Sonja Wiggans of Byram; a son, LaJaune Porter of Holly Springs; five sisters, Margaret Liggins of St. Louis, Mo., Margaret Beard of Suffolk, Va. Martha Wheeler, Aline Avery Hart, Bobby Jean White, all of Memphis; seven brothers, Morris Porter of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Marvin Porter of East St. Louis, Ill., Al Liggins of St. Louis, Mo., Dennis Liggins of Moline, Ill., Sylvester Liggins of Augusta, Ga., Newt Liggins of Dallas, Texas, Stanley Liggins of Iowa; and five grandchildren.
Patsy Whittaker, 70, of Byhalia, died April 15, 2014, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. on April 26 at Victory Church in Byhalia. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves three sons, James Whittaker, Rodney Whittaker, both of Southaven, Charles Whittaker of Hernando; four daughters, Gayle Holt of Olive Branch, Stephanie Mason of Horn Lake, Linda George of Southaven, Mary Swinson of Mobile, Ala.; two brothers, Danny Ray Free of Horn Lake, Ricky Free of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Faye Monague of Southaven, Sandra Free of Memphis; several grandchildren and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James.
Allen Coleman Rhea
Allen Coleman Rhea, 84, of Cornersville, died April 19, 2014 in Ripley. He was a heavy equipment operator.
Services were held at 10 a.m. on April 22 at Cornersville Baptist Church, where he was a member. Burial was in the Cornersville Cemetery. Bro. Joe Epting and Bro. Thomas Chandler officiated. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves a son, Kenneth Rhea of Hickory Flat; a daughter, Pamela Rhea Simpson (Larry) of Senatobia; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
