Sandor Viradi and band perform
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Collins of Atlanta, Ga., were visitors this weekend for the 75th annual Holly Springs Pilgrimage.
Both Neil and Regan Murphy, children of Susie and Harold, were spotted out and about this weekend. Neil lives in Jackson and Regan in Starkville.
Sandor Viradi and his band played at Bo Jangles Saturday night. He is a favorite among locals and will be reappearing in May.
Hank Wheeler of Newnan, Ga., was the weekend guest of Mary Clay and Gene Brooks and children, Caitlyn and Grady. While here, he also visited with Laura and Kay Wheeler.
This week starts post-season play for the Marshall Academy Patriots baseball team. They travelled to Bastrop, La., Tuesday to face off in the best two out of three series with Prairie View. They played one game and will be playing on Patriot Field Friday afternoon. One game definite, possibly two. Go on down to Patriot Field and cheer these boys on in their playoff games! Friday night the senior players (Vince Hoyt, Aaron McAlexander and Matt Rappa) will be recognized with a special ceremony. It’s always a good time behind the backstop at Patriot Field!
