The Marshall County Planning Commission
will meet for their regular scheduled meeting on Thursday, May 9, 2013
at 2:00 p.m. in the Marshall County Zoning Office at 590 Old Highway
78-East, Holly Springs, Mississippi. The public is invited to attend.
The following requests will be on the
agenda:
ITEM 1: Marshall County Water
Association requests to be allowed to construct a water tank on
Brookside Baptist Church property located at 4993 Highway 302. The tank
will be at the rear south/east corner of the 10 acres, approximately
2500 feet south of Highway 302 and 2500 feet east of Bailey Drive. The
property in question is part of Olive Branch East Subdivision and zoned
R-E. TABLED FROM APRIL 11 MEETING.
ITEM2: Mrs. Marilyn Jones requests to
be allowed to place a second dwelling (double wide mobile home)
on her property located at 363 Valentine Road. The property
in question is Lot #8 of Tower Farms Subdivision, contains 5.10 acres
and is zoned Agricultural-Residential.
ITEM3: Ms. Arbella Nichols requests to
be allowed to get two (2) acres deeded from her sister, Ollie Ingram,
7.80 acres located at 566 Millwright Road, so she can place a double
wide mobile home. The property in question is part of Lot #15 of Holly
Farms Subdivision and zoned R-2.
ITEM4: Mr. Mitchell Norman requests to
be allowed to construct a barber shop on his property located at the
corner of Rabbit Ridge Road and Highway 178 West. The property in
question contains approximately 2.61 acres and is zoned
Agricultural-Residential. TABLED FROM APRIL 11 MEETING.
ITEM5: Mr. Alan Bogard is requesting to
be allowed to establish a recreational park for car shows, horse shows,
picnics, breast cancer awareness events for holidays and summer, on
property located on Bubba Taylor Road (Percy Hearn Estates) close to
246 Bubba Taylor Road. The property in question contains 35 acres (with
only approximately 2 to 3 acres will be used for the park) and is zoned
