Byhalia Elementary School is in need of library books. You have the opportunity to furnish one or more books for the school to use in their library or individual classrooms. The book can be “preloved,” but please only donate books in good condition with no markings, missing, or torn pages. A comprehensive list of AR books would be several hundred pages long. Most fiction books published by a major publisher post 1990 are on the AR list. Desirable books can be found on the AR website at arbookfind.com, but most children’s books would be gladly accepted. Hardback books are preferred. Do not drop your book(s) at the school, but rather bring them to the Chamber luncheon at Victory Church on April 18 or take them by the Byhalia Town Hall. A special door prize drawing will take place at the luncheon for those who bring a book to the luncheon. Deadline for book donations is April 30. If we receive more books than this school can use, they will be shared with other public schools in the county. If you need additional information, you can contact Janice at 901-246-8843. |
