SocietyCity Personals Remembering a kind and helpful man – Jimmy Warren Holly Springs was in a state of shock last week with the sudden death of Jimmy Warren, one of our finest citizens. When we lived on Center Street, he would be at his mother’s house often (Dorothy). Such a devoted son - a relationship I can only hope to have with my own son when I am older. I have never seen a mother-son bond so strong. One night, her home was broken into. Jimmy was “Johnny-on-the-spot,” scanning the neighborhood and quick to let us all know what happened. Knowing he was on top of the situation was reassuring! Jimmy would always send pictures of the decorated tables at the Kate Freeman Clark Art Gallery when the Belles and Books group would host their yearly luncheon. You knew as soon as his email popped up, he had gotten them together to share with all of us. That is the kind of man Jimmy was - always helpful and kind. It is surreal that he is no longer with us. I did not know his dad, but did know Aileen and Charlie Warren (fabulously funny and cute). I know they were dancing a jig, along with his son, Rob, when he arrived in Heaven. How fortunate we all were to have had the time we did with Jimmy. Precious moments are fleeting in this life. Having someone as special as he in it was a gift.
