Sheriff in rehab after auto accident
Sheriff Kenny Dickerson has been moved to an inpatient physical therapy rehab center at The Med.
There are no additional surgeries expected at this point, according to his son, Bob Dickerson.
The sheriff is expected to be at rehab for about a week, but maybe more, Bob Dickerson said.
“He is probably going to be off his feet for a while after he gets home, but he is still expected to make a full recovery over time,” he said.
Meanwhile, Maj. David Cook, patrol supervisor, said each division in the sheriff’s department is holding steady while the sheriff recuperates.
Sheriff Dickerson was injured in an automobile accident Saturday, March 8, in the Town of Byhalia at the intersection of Stonewall Road and Highway 309.
