Super Bowl Preview

It’s hard to say whether people are surprised or not that the third-seed Kansas City Chiefs are back in the big game representing the American Football Conference for the fourth time in the last five seasons. However, it was a much more difficult task this postseason: playing in minus 25-degree weather wild car weekend and going on the road to Buffalo to cool off the red-hot Bills in the divisional round. The most impressive defeat was going into Baltimore championship weekend and defeating the best team in the National Football League, Lamar Jackson, and the Baltimore Ravens. Should you be surprised? Of course not. It’s what dynasties do. Also, who doesn’t want to see the” Swiftie mania “attack the Super Bowl? But the third ring for Patrick Mahomes and company may not be such a gimme. Minutes away from a 6th Super Bowl championship, the San Francisco 49ers blew a 10point lead in the fourth quarter in Super Bowl LIV. The Chiefs scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to give the Chiefs the 31-20 victory. The Niners are much more poised and mature than they were in that last Super Bowl. I expect Kyle Shanahan to have his squad ready for what should be an NFL classic. I predict 42-28 Kansas City, as Mahomes will cement his name in the “G.O.A.T” conversation. But the bigger question is, will Andy Reed return or retire on top?
