Rust College defeats Talladega College 68-46

The Rust College women’s basketball program has winning streaks of seven, five, and now two with the convincing victory versus the Talladega College Tornadoes at the W.A. McMillan Center, Holly Springs, Friday, rising above for a 68-46 decision.

Niya McGuire led the Lady Bearcats in scoring and rebounding, dropping 14 points while grabbing a contest-high eight boards (on the offensive glass), plus a steal and an assist.

Amelya Hatch was the wing woman of the evening, dishing out a game-best five assists on top of nine points.

Musharapha Alhassan followed behind McGuire with 13 points, nabbed six boards, and logged a match-most four steals, one of two blocks, and a field goal percentage of 80 percent.

Diamond Sweats poured in 11 points, seven rebounds, a trio of assists, and a trio of steals during her 25 minutes of court time. (Rust College Sports)
