Patriots sweep Raiders in three-game series

Marshall Academy Patriots continued its red-hot winning streak, sweeping Kirk Academy Raiders in three games.

Patriots Coach Dustin Skelton is very pleased with his team’s effort, saying he thinks his squad is playing “very well.”

“I thought the boys took care of business against Kirk Academy. They showed great poise and confidence throughout the series,” Skelton said. “Tuesday, we went down to Grenada, and the boys came out hot as they run-ruled them in six innings. Thursday Kirk came to Holly Springs and it was two close games that we just fought to the end. It was a really good series and I could not say enough about how proud I am of the boys resilience to compete from the first pitch to the last.”
