Hawks win back-to-back at home
Hawk fans are very familiar with this time of year, as postseason basketball is right around the corner. The memories of success over the years have made Holly Springs High School fans optimistic about competing for a championship every season. Due to scheduling conflicts, the Hawks have been on the verge of back-to-back games the last few weeks. The Hawks defeated the Rosa Fort Lions 56-50 and the Coahoma County Red Panthers (Senior night) 53-43.
Holly Springs coach Luke Chapman talked about how to take each game one at a time.
“Wins are hard to come by in our district,” Chapman said. “I believe from top to bottom, we have the toughest district in 3A basketball. We beat two solid teams this week, it’s giving us a lot of confidence heading into the district tournament.”
