Hawks continue domination over Wildcats

Holly Springs High School continued its domination over Independence High School on Wednesday, Jan. 24. The Hawks swept the Wildcats as they cruised to a 68-53 victory.

“It was our most complete game of the season,” said Holly Springs High School coach Luke Chapman. Offensively, we were able to sustain production for a full four quarters. Our guys were motivated to lock in defensively and also generate turnovers. Those stops led to transition opportunities on the other end, which we capitalized at a high rate tonight.”

The Hawks will play on their home court Wednesday, Jan. 30, against Rosa Fort High School Lions. Senior night will be held Friday, Feb. 2, and the Hawks will go up against competitor Coahoma County High School Panthers. The Hawks lost against the Panthers Monday night with a final score of 33-48. Games begin at 6 p.m.
